Privacy statement

Cribo helps you find a rental home in the Eindhoven region. This page explains which personal data we use, why, and what your rights are. In short: we only keep what the service needs, we don't sell data and we don't run advertising or analytics.
Who is responsible
Cribo is run from Eindhoven, the Netherlands. You can reach us at info@cribo.nl. We are the controller for the data described here.
What we collect and why

Without an account, your profile only lives in your own browser (local storage) and never reaches our database. If you then sign in, the profile you entered moves to your account.
Your profile, incomes and letters are private. They are not shown to other users and are not shared with agencies or landlords. We do not send anything to an agency for you.
Listing data
The homes shown on Cribo come from the public websites of letting agencies. That is data about homes, not about people. If you are named in a listing and want it removed, email us.
Who else handles data
We use a few services to run Cribo. They process data on our behalf or because you use the site.
- Blink (blink.new): hosts the app, handles sign-in and stores the database with accounts, profiles, applications and alerts.
- Resend: sends alert and account emails. It receives your email address and the content of the email.
- Cloudflare: runs our domain name and forwards mail sent to info@cribo.nl to our mailbox.
- PDOK (Dutch public geodata service): when you look up a work address in your profile, the text you type is sent to PDOK to find the location.
- OpenStreetMap: supplies the map tiles. When you open the map, your browser contacts their servers, so they see your IP address and the area you view.
- Google Fonts: our pages load their fonts from Google, so Google sees your IP address when a page loads.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case we rely on the safeguards they offer, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Cookies and local storage
We only use what is needed for the service: keeping you signed in, remembering your profile and your light or dark choice on your device. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies and have no analytics, so there is no cookie banner. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Ask us to delete it and we remove your account, profile, applications and alerts. Server logs at our hosting provider are kept for a short period. Emails to info@cribo.nl are kept as long as needed to deal with your question.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or give you a copy you can reuse. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent for alerts at any time. Email info@cribo.nl; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If we change this statement in a meaningful way, we update the date at the top and, for changes that affect you, tell you by email or in the app.
